Is EUCLID dead ?

On december 8th 1998, Hugues Rougier the CEO of Matra Datavision (today MDTVISION) stated that Euclid our "state of the art" CAD/CAM product was dead.

This decision implied that maintenance will be stopped ten years after. I remember the reaction of a lot of our customers. We are not far from these ten years.

Today the landscape is covered only by one system. France was a country with various systems driven by geniouses like Pierre Bézier. Today the CAD/CAM landscape looks like the moon.
